NetSuite to Bring D&B DaaS to Cloud ERP

ZachNelsonWe at Dun & Bradstreet are thrilled to announce a partnership with NetSuite, the leader in cloud-based ERP and omnichannel commerce solutions. The strategic alliance holds great promise to scrub transactional data in real time, so end users can base business-critical decisions on accurate, enriched information, embedded directly in established workflows.

NetSuite will offer Dun & Bradstreet commercial data in a Data as a Service (DaaS) stream, so it appears directly in its ERP and financial applications in a consistent, programmatic way – with no effort or action required by users. Dun & Bradstreet has modernized its content delivery, updating its global database more than five million times a day so enterprise information workers have a solid foundation for making informed decisions and boosting productivity.

“Dun & Bradstreet is renowned as the leading provider of trustworthy commercial information with a breadth and depth of data that can be found nowhere else,” said Evan Goldberg, NetSuite Founder and Chief Technology Officer in a press release. “This partnership is a game changer for our customers since it provides the data and insights necessary to transform and speed up their business processes and decision making and increase overall efficiency.”

Growing Relationships, Growing Opportunities

The announcement comes at a time when businesses of all sizes are choosing cloud-based ERP over traditional on-premise software packages. What’s the appeal? Fast deployment, an affordable entry point and virtually unlimited scale.

Growth is the name of the game — for NetSuite and its customers. In the last two years, NetSuite has seen tremendous growth in demand for its suite of cloud-based business software. In fact, the company has seen 30% revenue growth, year over year, in the last eight quarters. That’s a growth curve any high-flying tech company can appreciate.

The new alliance will enable NetSuite customers to combine their transactional data with Dun & Bradstreet B2B commercial data in real time, so they have a clear picture of what’s going on – with their business, their customers and their industries. Our shared goal is to give these forward-thinking businesses the best possible solution for evaluating financial risk, managing suppliers and making better business decisions. Using a modern, scalable cloud-based platform that integrates Dun & Bradstreet commercial data, we hope to offer companies a way to grow their business relationships while staying nimble, so they can navigate successfully through all types of markets.

Working in Partnership

Working together, NetSuite and Dun & Bradstreet are developing a software bridge via NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform that will provide a native integration to Dun & Bradstreet’s global database of 240 million company records. The bridge also enables us to embed D&B’s DNBi Credit Risk decisioning capabilities directly into NetSuite, with the potential to expand functionality over time, so we can continue to deliver ground-breaking new capabilities across the entire NetSuite platform.

Initially, our two companies will focus our efforts around embedding real-time data quality, supplier and vendor insights and enabling credit decisioning directly from NetSuite’s ERP workflows. Over time, the breadth of NetSuite’s products offers an unparalleled opportunity to deliver a combined solution that can help improve enterprise processes and outcomes across multiple workstreams, including:

  • Finance
  • Procurement
  • Credit and risk management
  • Sales and marketing

The potential for both companies – and our joint customers – is immense. With a 360-degree view of customer and supplier information, users will gain a consolidated view across workflows, including Quote to Cash and Order to Payment processes. Whereas ERP and CRM applications have traditionally relied on bolt-on or external solutions to enrich data, a natively integrated solution offers superior data quality and can significantly reduce risks to businesses’ credit and supply chains – before a problem occurs.

SuiteWorld attendees can see an early demo of the combined solution by visiting the Dun & Bradstreet booth #902.
